What if we could bridge our region's growing economic and social divides by changing the way we work together?

As our neighborhoods, city, and region have gone through rapid change over the past 15 years, we’ve also seen a rise in narratives that promote fear and other-ing.

Media stories like “Seattle is Dying” highlight our differences instead of our similarities at a time when an increasing number of people are being left behind. What would it look like to rediscover our connections to each other, and rewrite a story of belonging? The 2020 Belonging Gathering (February 20-22, 2020), powered by the Seattle Foundation’s Civic Commons initiative, hopes to spark new relationships between leaders from different sectors that will be the key to discovering new ways to approach change in our region.

During this two-and-a-half-day event, attendees are invited to meet and collaborate with peers from businesses, non-profits, grassroots organizations and the public sector, and begin to nurture stronger people-to-people relationships across sectors and communities.

The 2020 Belonging Gathering convenes diverse voices to connect, weave, and move us all forward: we hope you will join us.
